Man arrested in connection with Meath hijacking

Man arrested 39 deaths

A car was hijacked in Meath on Wednesday.

A man in his 50s appeared at a special sitting of Navan District Court at 1pm today (10 March) charged in relation to the hijacking of a car at Enfield, Co. Meath on 6 March 2019.

The incident occurred at approximately 5.40am on Wednesday morning at Moyfenrath, Enfield when two men confronted a woman sitting in her car and ordered her to get out. The woman was in her 60s.

She was not injured in the incident.

A man was arrested by investigating Gardaí yesterday in Dublin. He was brought to Trim Garda Station where he was questioned in relation to the incident. He was charged and will appear in court this afternoon.

The Irish Times has further reported that the man was arrested in the Blanchardstown area.
