Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to the incident.
Gardaí investigating the murder of a 46-year-old man on Castlecomer Road, Kilkenny in the early hours of Thursday morning (6 February 2020) have announced that they have charged a 33-year-old man in relation to the incident.
The man, who was charged this morning (Saturday 8 February), is due to appear before Kilkenny District Court at 12pm this afternoon.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to come forward.
In particular, they are appealing to anyone who was in the Castlecomer Road or Gas House Lane area between 3.30am and 5.30am on Thursday 6 February.
This includes any road users who may have camera footage. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
