A man has been arrested following the robbery of a shop in south Dublin on Friday.
Gardaí have arrested and charged a male in his 30s following the robbery of a retail premises on Highfield Road, Rathgar on Friday afternoon (15 May).
At approximately 4.20pm the man entered the premises armed with a metal bar and a knife.
The man fled the scene having taken a number of items with him.
Gardaí have said that the man was arrested a short time later, and was taken to Terenure Garda Station where he was detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Saturday morning in relation to this incident.
