Man arrested in Drogheda following threat to kill

Gardaí in Drogheda have arrested a man for allegedly threatening to kill a man in 2018.

On 31 May, Gardaí in Drogheda arrested and charged a man in his 20s with one count of Section 5 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.

The charge relates to an incident on the 19 July 2018 where the man allegedly threatened to kill a man in his 30s.

The man was subsequently arrested in October 2018 and a file was then prepared for the DPP for direction.

The man in question appeared before the Criminal Justice Court in Dublin on 1 June 2019, and has been remanded in custody with consent to bail subject to strict conditions.

The case was adjourned until 10.30am on 6 June at Cloverhill District Court.
