Man arrested in investigation into murder of teenager Keane Mulready-Woods

The man can be held by Gardaí for up to seven days.

A man in his 40s has been arrested in relation to the murder of teenager Keane Mulready-Woods earlier this year.

The arrest was made by Gardaí on Tuesday morning and the man is currently being detained at Drogheda Garda Station.

17-year-old Keane Mulready-Woods was last seen alive in Drogheda on 12 January and some of his dismembered body parts were discovered in a bag in Coolock the day after.

The following day more of his body parts were discovered in a burning car in Drumcondra.

The man arrested on Tuesday morning is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Drogheda Garda station.

He can be held for up to seven days.
