The 1.6 metre snake was retrieved from the toilet by a reptile expert and returned to its owner.
Police said the man's 24-year-old neighbour kept 11 non-venomous snakes and a gecko in his apartment and now faces charges an investigation on suspicion of causing bodily harm by negligence.
