Very sad news.
Gardaí in Wicklow are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Vale Road Arklow at approximately 9.40am on Monday night.
A 19-year-old man lost his life when a car he was a passenger in struck a ditch. The driver of the car was uninjured in the collision.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
