Very sad news.
A man in his 40s has died after he was struck by a van as he walked near Causeway in Kerry.
The incident happened around 8.15pm on Saturday evening.
The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, was uninjured in the collision.
The body of the man has been removed to University Hospital Kerry where a post mortem will be carried out.
A report has been sent to the local Coroner and the scene is preserved for examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
