
Man dies and another injured after being hit by train in Meath
The man who died was in his 20s.
A man has died and another has been injured after they were struck by a train in Meath.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed in a statement to JOE that the incident happened in the Gormanstown area shortly before 9.30pm on Wednesday (14 September).
Meanwhile, Irish Rail said in a tweet that it occurred on the Dublin to Belfast line.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and one of the men, aged in his 20s, received treatment but was later pronounced dead.
His body has since been taken to Navan mortuary.
The Garda spokesperson also said that the second man received treatment at the scene for his injuries.
The line was closed for some time but has since reopened.
