A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Mayo.
Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle that occurred on the N83 at Johnstown in Ballyhaunis, at approximately 3.35pm on Wednesday (15 July).
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was airlifted to Galway University Hospital in a critical condition. Sadly, he has since passed away.
A technical examination of the scene has been carried out and the road has re-opened.
