Man dies after tractor and motorbike collide in Meath

Very sad news.

An Garda Síochána have confirmed that a 26-year-old man has died from his injuries after a road traffic collision at Balrath Cross, Kells, Co. Meath.

The collision involved a motorcycle and a tractor at around 4.10pm on Saturday (25 May). The driver of the tractor, who is 19-years-old, was not injured. Neither party has been named.

The motorcyclist was brought to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, but was later pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.

Garda forensic collision investigators were at scene and carried out a forensic collision investigation of the scene. The road has since been reopened to the public.

Gardaí in Kells are now appealing for any persons who may have travelled the road or who can assist with this investigation to contact them at Kells Garda Station 046 – 9280820, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
