Man extradited to Ireland from UK in connection with 2016 Dublin murder

A man has been extradited to Ireland from the UK in connection with a 2016 murder in Dublin.

A man in his 30s was extradited from the United Kingdom on foot of a European Arrest Warrant and arrested by Gardaí upon his arrival at Baldonnell Aerodrome.

This arrest is in connection with the murder of a man in his 50s at Bridgefoot Street, Dublin 8, on Friday 1 July 2016.

The man in his 30s was detained at Kevin Street Garda Station and has since been charged to appear before Dublin Metropolitan District Court Number 4, Criminal Courts of Justice, on Wednesday morning.

The extradition process was facilitated with assistance from the Irish Air Corps.
