An investigation is ongoing.
A man has been found dead in Cloverhill Prison in west Dublin.
The inmate was in his cell alone when he was found in the early hours of this morning.
The Irish Prison Service and An Garda Siochana are currently investigating the death. The cause of the man’s death has not been revealed.
The man had been recently remanded in custody after an appearance in a Dublin court.
Cloverhill Prison is primarily used for those who are facing charges and awaiting trials.
