Very sad news.
A male pedestrian has been killed after he was struck by a Luas tram shortly before midnight on Monday.
The incident happened at the Kingswood red Luas line at around 11.55pm.
On Tuesday morning, Gardaí confirmed a man had been knocked down and killed in the collision.
He was the sole casualty of the incident.
Luas services were suspended for a time but have since resumed.
