A class act…

Bohemian FC tweeted a picture of a present they received from Manchester United, a gift which was thanks to the club and its fans for cleaning up the vandalism caused to the Liam Whelan memorial in Dublin recently.

We reported about the mindless act of vandalism here and its subsequent clean-up. Clubs from all over showed their solidarity with the memorial and the scene became something of a footballing shrine as it was bedecked in jerseys.

The Manchester United vice-chairman, Ed Woodward thanked Bohs fans sincerely for what he described as “this act of kindness and solidarity in football.”

We cannot confirm if Bohs chose the vase over Tom Cleverley who was apparently offered as thanks…
