By Fiona Frawley
Lisdoonvarna could never.
If you're at your wits end with the apps and dream of a meet-cute amongst the sand and surf of south Donegal, your time has come.
The seaside town of Bundoran is set to host this year's World Matchmaking Festival, a ten-day affair featuring dancing, romancing, blind dates and more.
Thousands of singletons are expected to travel by air, sea and road to find love, with 34 live acts scheduled to perform at the festival too.
The event is expected to provide a major boost for businesses in the town, due to its length and the fact that its taking place just outside of the busy summer season.

World Matchmaking Festival
Speaking to Donegal News, Shane Smyth of Discover Bundoran said:
“The arrival of the World Matchmaking Festival next month is most welcome as it straddles both September and October and is one of the longest festivals to have run in Bundoran at 10 days in a row!
“We expect that the festival will give a welcome boost to the town as Bundoran generally gets a bit quieter at that time of year".
There are hotel packages available across the seaside town for the festival, with bookings already coming in ahead of the main event.
The World Matchmaking Festival takes place in Bundoran from 29 September until 8 October.
If you're looking to get a room, you can peruse the accommodation packages on offer for the festival right here.
