Met Éireann issue fog warning for most of Ireland

fog warning

Take note.

Met Éireann has issued fog warning for most of Ireland on Sunday afternoon.

The Status Yellow fog warning is in place from 3pm on Sunday until 6am on Monday morning.

All of Leinster, Munster and Connacht will be affected by the adverse weather conditions.

Met Éireann warned that fog will be thickening on Sunday evening, with some particularly dense areas of fog during the night.

While the weather warning is only valid until 6am tomorrow, the weather is not expected to improve too drastically as the day goes on.

Monday will be mostly coudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most persistent in the northwest.

And sadly, as the week continues, the weather is expected to get colder and wetter, with a damp seven days predicted.

So long story short, stay on the couch wrapped up in a blanket if you can. And get the hot water bottle out.
