Sadly, the good weather won’t last.
Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Cork, Waterford and the entirety of Leinster.
Earlier this morning, a warning was issued for Waterford, however, that has now been extended.
With regards to the warning for Cork and Waterford, people in the counties are expected to face “outbreaks of heavy rain during Sunday which will lead to rainfall accumulations of 25 to 40mm, with the highest values in coastal areas.”
The warning is in place from Sunday, 23 June 2019 at 06:00 until 18:00 that evening.
As for the counties in Leinster, a status yellow rainfall warning is also in place.
However, the 12 counties are expected to see “scattered thundery downpours” that are set to “push northwards later Sunday and for a time on Monday. Rainfall totals of 25-40mm are possible in some areas over a short period.
That particular warning is in place from Sunday, 23 June at 18:00 and it will last until Monday, 24 June at 06:00.
