Met Éireann issue Storm Dylan weather warning updates

Carl Kinsella

On Friday, Met Éireann issued a status orange wind warning for half the country and a status yellow wind warning for the other half.

Yesterday, they followed it up by extending the warnings until midday today.

This morning, Met Éireann issued a further update on the Storm Dylan warnings, announcing that they would actually elapse at 9am this morning, as opposed to 12pm — meaning that by the time you read this, the warnings will be over.

A specific warning had also been issued for Donegal, where winds reached up to 110 to 130km/h this morning.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that the weather has become very pleasant all of a sudden, you’d still probably rather be in doors…

You can keep up-to-date with all of Met Éireann’s weather warnings here.
