Met Éireann issues weather warning for Kerry

Just the one county.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Wind Warning which will affect Kerry on Thursday and Friday morning.

It is in place from 4pm on Thursday until 5am on Friday.

The warning is due to southeast winds will have mean speeds between 50 and 65km/h with gusts of between 90 and 100 km/h.

There will also be the possibility of some coastal flooding due to high seas.

For the rest of the country, Thursday will be a mostly dry and blustery day, although it will be cloudy with some spells of drizzle along the south and west coasts.

But there will be some bright spells as well, and it will be very mild as we go towards the weekend and early next week.
