Met Eireann have issued another weather warning to go along with the snow and ice warning they issued on Monday.

It seems to one weather warning after another these days as Met Eireann have issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature warning for all of Ireland.

They’ve warned public that tonight will be, “very cold with air temperatures falling down to -4 degrees Celsius.”

“Frost, ice and freezing fog. Well scattered wintry showers too with locally light accumulations – eastern areas most at threat towards morning.”

The warning was issued at 10am on Tuesday and will run from 7pm on Tuesday until 12pm on Wednesday.

AA Roadwatch have warned motorists to slow down and take care on the roads during the wintry weather.

“Give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination and use major routes as they are more likely to have been gritted than secondary roads. Remember, stopping distances are 10 times longer in ice and snow,” AA Roadwatch said.
