Take note.

Met Éireann has issued a weather warning for 13 counties and it has also issued a weather advisory for the entire country until Saturday, advising of the potential of more weather warnings later this week.

The Status Yellow rainfall warning was issued at 7am on Monday morning and is valid until 7am on Tuesday.

It affects Munster, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly and Galway.

Met Éireann warned that these counties will experience heavy or thundery rain with localised flooding and accumulations of 25 to 40mm possible in some places.

On top of this, a weather advisory has been issued for all of Ireland from 12pm on Monday until 6pm on Saturday, 22 August.

The advisory states that unseasonably wet and windy weather is expected at times this week with further rainfall warnings likely and potentially some wind warnings as well.

Thursday and Friday in particular will be wet and windy and Met Éireann has said it may result in some unsafe conditions over higher ground, lakes and sea areas.
