Take note…

While we love the blazing heat we’ve been having over the last couple of days, sometimes you have to take the good with the bad and put up with a bit of rain as well.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow thunder and rainfall warning which will affect all of Ireland.

The warning was issued at 1pm on Thursday and will be valid from 12pm on Friday until 9pm on Friday night.

The advisory warns of heavy thundery downpours on Friday will lead to high intensity rainfall in a short period of time.

People are urged to be wary of potential localised spot flooding, which will be possible in some areas.

Although the warning is for the whole country, Met Éireann have said that  the Western half of the country and the Midlands are the most at risk at present.

They’ve promised warm and sunny weather again tomorrow with highs of 20 to 23 degrees but there will be heavy, thundery showers that will break out during the afternoon, mainly across the western half of the country.
