Rainfall warning

Just what we love to hear… right?

You may have been hoping that yesterday’s weather warnings would have been the end of it. Separate warnings covered 15 counties in total on Thursday up until 10pm. It rained. A lot.

But you’d have been wrong. Dead wrong.

Yes, Met Éireann have issued another status yellow rain warning for parts of Ireland.

This one is for Cork and Kerry and is active from 6pm on Friday until 6am on Saturday morning.

Met Éireann warned that, “Heavy rain on Friday night could see 12 hour accumulations in excess of 25mm in parts of Cork and Kerry, with the highest accumulations expected about higher ground and the coastal fringes.”

Saturday is promised to begin well, with high temperatures of 21 degrees before rain sweeps in from the Atlantic and spreads across the country, bringing misery with it.

But we’ve good news (crowd cheers). Sunday will start off dry and sunny.

Before rain once again messes things up (crowd boos).

Overall, bring your brolly.
