As you’ve already seen, it’s pretty damn wet out there…
Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Cork and Kerry as this current period of bad weather continues across the country.
The warning was issued last night and is valid until 8pm this evening.
The weather service had already reported that Thursday would bring stormy weather with thundery showers set to arrive from the afternoon onwards, when humid conditions and temperatures of up to 19 degrees will make the air feel a little clammy.
Which is basically why if you were walking anywhere today, you were that uncomfortable combination of wet on the outside while absolutely sweating inside your jacket.
Unfortunately, this wet and unsettled weather shows no signs of abating as we meander towards the weekend, but you can expect it to get even warmer with temperatures rising to 22 degrees in places.
Met Éireann have also issued a warning to farmers over the risk of blight between Wednesday night and Saturday evening.
In a status yellow warning, they warned that weather conditions conducive to the spread of potato blight will occur at times over Munster and Leinster.
to sum up the current forecast, you’re going to need a brolly on hand wherever you go…
@paulod11 we reckon this guy looks a bit like #JOEBrolly too Paul but maybe you can verify that. pic.twitter.com/gZx3Bbukkh
