They’re urging people not to “forget the sunscreen” as it’s going to be a warm one this week.

Met Éireann have predicted temperatures to soar to the mid 20s and “very little rain” in their seven-day weather forecast.

The forecasters said it will be “largely dry for much of the week with just a few showers around”, “good sunshine” and temperatures of up to 24 degrees.

They’re urging people not to “forget the sunscreen” as high pressure is set to ensure more good weather for the week ahead.

However, they warned that there will be some spells of rain on Friday as an Atlantic low pressure is expected to bring some slightly more unsettled weather for the weekend.

Tuesday will be warm and mostly dry with good spells of warm sunshine, although some patchy drizzle may hit parts of the northwest in the morning. Highest temperatures will hit between 21 to 23 degrees for many areas, but between 16 and 20 degrees in coastal regions of the west and north where it will be cloudier.

Wednesday will also be warm and dry with some good sunshine and highest temperatures of 21 to 24 degrees.

Thursday will continue warm and mainly dry with good sunshine through the morning. There’ll be a bit more cloud during the afternoon and evening with a chance of a few showers most likely in parts of Leinster and Connacht and highest temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees.

Friday will start off dry with sunny spells, however, some scattered showers will develop by the afternoon. Also, later in the afternoon, rain will develop in the southwest and will gradually spread northeastwards through the evening and night.

Although conditions will continue warm with highest temperatures reaching 20 to 24 degrees.

Current indications suggest that Saturday will be mostly cloudy with rain continuing to move northwards. It will also be slightly cooler with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees.

At the moment it looks like Sunday next will also bring further showers, however, temperatures will stay high at between 17 to 20 degrees.
