It’s going to be a scorcher.

Met Éireann has predicted that it will be “very warm” for the best part of the next week as temperatures of 27 degrees are set to last until Tuesday.

Today will see sunny spells developing in most areas with maximum temperatures of between 19 and 25 degrees.

Meanwhile, on Friday, sunshine is also likely to develop as the day goes on and it will be warm with temperatures reaching heights of 21 to 25 degrees.

High pressure is set to hit the country over the weekend bringing dry, warm and sunny weather on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and into the start of next week, with warm and humid nights too.

Saturday and Sunday will both remain dry and very warm with long spells of sunshine and light breezes. Daytime temperatures will also soar to between 23 and 27 degrees.

Monday will be another dry, sunny and very warm day, with temperatures reaching between 23 and 27 degrees yet again across most of the country.

There is, however, some uncertainty in the forecast from Tuesday, but it looks like the majority of the country will see another dry, sunny and very warm day with maximum temperatures of between 22 and 27 degrees.

However, cloudier conditions with some patchy light rain are possible in northern areas, although temperatures are still set to soar to between 18 and 21 degrees.
