Met Eireann release yet another Yellow warning as high winds are headed our way again

If you have anything left in your garden, tie it down now.

If you have anything left in your garden, tie it down now.

After a few reasonably pleasant days over the weekend, and a very bright start to Monday, it looks like it is back to the windy stuff later today and tomorrow.

The folks at Met Eireann have issued another of their Yellow National warnings, as they expect winds of up to 100kph to hit us later today and tonight.

According to their site, wind and rain will spread northeastwards over the country this evening and tonight ‘winds will strengthen further in the West with gales and gusts to 100 km/hr in exposed parts’.

The good news is that it should be short lived, with the winds dying down on Tuesday to leave an unsettled, but hopefully not too damaging, week of weather.
