Weather forecast

We’ve earned this sun. We really have.

If you’ve felt blessed by the recent summery weather, the news is that it’s only going to get better heading into the Bank Holiday.

According to Met Eireann, temperatures are expected to reach the early 20s on Sunday with this set to remain the case until Tuesday.

Across the country on Sunday, anticipate a warm and dry day with spells of sunshine and light breezes.

There is however, the possibility that mist and fog may linger along the east coast for a period of time.

Top temperatures are expected to be between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius, with the warmest places being the Midlands and East.

Some coastal areas will however, only have temperatures in the low to mid-teens.

In Dublin, mist and fog will have mostly cleared tomorrow morning to leave another dry and warm day with long spells of sunshine developing.

Again, the highest temperatures will be between 18 and 21 or 22 degrees generally, but it will be a little lower in coastal parts.
