Met Éireann has issued a status orange weather warning with snow and ice set to hit the east of the country in the coming days.
Scattered snow showers are expected in Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Laois, Louth, Wicklow and Meath on Tuesday, leading to accumulations of 4 - 6 centimetres by Wednesday morning.
People are advised to prepare for widespread frost and icy conditions.
The warning is in place from Tuesday 27 February at 3pm until Wednesday 28 February at 11am.
