Met Éireann’s latest forecast is good or bad depending on your attitude

Carl Kinsella

If you’re holding out hope for a white Christmas, it seems that you might be fresh out of luck.

Met Éireann’s most recent weather report indicates that Ireland’s run of unseasonal warmth is set to continue throughout the coming week

While there will be a frosty night or two “there is no sign of any really cold wintry weather on the charts,” meaning that you might be able to leave your woolly hat and winter coat in the wardrobe.

Of course, Monday will still bring a few rainy spells across the country because – Christmas weather or not – we do still live in Ireland, and we were hardly going to get that lucky.

As for temperature, the week should see steady temperatures of around 11 and 12 degrees.
