They allege repeated violations of bullying policies

Meta has announced that it will be removing the account of Cork influencer Vladyslav Morhulets "Rendy Vlad".

It appears his TikTok account has also been removed.

Meta said the move was taken following alleged repeated violations of its bullying and harassment policies.

Morhulets was well known for filming content around Cork using smart glasses which have an in-built camera.

He frequently films interactions and videos which he calls "pranks" across Cork and elsewhere in Ireland, with many of those featured in his content unaware that they are being recorded for social media.

The influencer has consistently been embroiled in scandals around privacy and outrage in Cork.
He had 12,000 followers on Instagram and 1.1 million followers on TikTok.

Mr Morhulets has consistently caused controversy across Cork as he films ‘pranks’ on the general public, many of whom are unaware that he is filming with his smart glasses.

The Ukrainian-born man been kicked out of businesses or confronted by members of the public due to his social media ‘pranks’.

One video was taken down earlier this year by TikTok, which claimed it violated rules against sexual abuse. It is understood the clip involved filming a young woman undergoing a medical emergency in Cork City.

A spokesperson for Meta which also produced the glasses used by Mr Morhulets, said: "We don’t tolerate harassing content, however it was captured, and have removed the account @rendy_vlad for repeatedly violating our bullying and harassment policies.

"The vast majority of people use our AI glasses because they’re helpful in everyday moments like listening to music, getting live translation while travelling, or making a call hands-free.
"The glasses are designed to be noticed. Every pair with a camera has a bright light on the front that flashes when you take a photo or video you can share with others."
