It seems Revolut was down again, making it the second time in one week that users have been unable to access the banking app.
So, here's what we know:
Following reports from multiple users that they were having trouble accessing Revolut again this week, their online customer support has they are "actively addressing a service disruption that affects your app log in. We're working to resolve this as soon as possible."
The reports have included users being unable to log into their accounts, with many being logged out and locked out.
Many Revolut users are sharing their frustrations online, with one Reddit user commenting: "That’s it at this stage tbh. After this is resolved I’m moving my money and closing the account."
"Relived that it’s just not me," wrote another.
A user also said: "Oh dear. All these outages are concerning. I'm happy I moved my money out after seeing all the posts about people's accounts being suspended."
In a statement to JOE, Revolut has confirmed the issue has been fixed: “We experienced a short technical issue with our app this afternoon that meant some customers were unable to log in.
"The issue was quickly identified and has now been fixed, and the app is working fully for those affected. Most of our customers were unaffected, and all our customers’ money and data are safe. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Last Tuesday, October 20, Revolut users worldwide reported major disruption and inability to use the app.
People were unable to access their money or use their cards following a system failure, while others received an error message and failed to log in to their accounts.
Users took to social media to share their frustrations, causing the company put out a statement, reassuring customers that their financial assets were intact and that they were working on a fix.
"We are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting multiple services. We can confirm that all our customers’ money and data are safe.
"We’ve been working to fix the issue since it was identified this morning and apologise to anyone affected and for any inconvenience caused."
Later that day, another statement confirmed what had gone wrong.
"Due to a recent Google Cloud outage, customers may have experienced temporary service disruption on the Revolut app today.
"The issue has now been fixed, and services are now restored. All our customers’ money and data is safe, and has remained safe throughout this incident. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
