The Dublin actor has previously faced online scrutiny over his appearance.

Barry Keoghan has admitted that a certain cosmetic procedure made him 'feel better' about himself after being subjected to online hate.

The treatment, which is said to cost over £5,000 (€5,977) has also been used by the likes of Kim Kardashian and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

In a video shared by celeb skin specialist, Nilam Holmes, Keoghan can be seen undergoing XERF skin-tightening treatment.

In the video, the Dubliner explains:  "I’ve been hearing a lot about it and Nilam is very excited about it. And she’s brilliant at what she does. I really mean that.

"Every time I come in, it’s very relaxing and therapeutic. Nilam looks after my skin. I feel better about myself. I look better. I think it’s important to look after yourself inside and outside."

XERF, originally developed in South Korea, is said to be a non-surgical way of  ‘lifting and firming the face’.

The treatment takes around 90 minutes with results lasting between 12 and 18 months, according to Holmes’ clinic.

Two sessions, the amount the Irishman is said have done, would amount to over £5,000 (€5,977).

Earlier this year, the 34-year-old opened up about the online scrutiny he had received regarding his appearance.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up with Ben Harlum, Keoghan said he has received 'a lot of abuse' over his looks and tried to remove himself from online.

"I think I removed myself from online, but I'm still a curious human being that wants to go on and, if I attend an event or if I go somewhere, you want to see how it was received. And it's not nice," he said.

The Saltburn star continued: "There's a lot of hate online. It's a lot of abuse of how I look.

"It's made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside.

"And I say this being absolute pure and honest to you. It's becoming a problem."
