It has now been over a month since the people of Ireland went to the polls…

Unfortunately, it has ended up in such a way that our TDs seem incapable of working together and forming a government.

This has led to widespread speculation that we’re in for another election sooner rather than later, and Michael Healy-Rae has a theory as to when it might be called.

Speaking to Newstalk this morning, the TD for Kerry South said that “if you do your sums and if you think this thing through, if there is to be another general election the only date will be the 20th of May”.

After their resounding win in Kerry, we’re pretty sure that neither he nor his brother Danny are worried about losing their seat if the Irish people are called upon to vote once more.
