Michael O’Leary has made some controversial comments about the Brexit campaign

Carl Kinsella

Michael O’Leary has had his say on those behind the Brexit movement, saying that ‘they couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery.’

O’Leary, the CEO of Ryanair, is never one to shy away from the chance to wind people up and he’s certainly stuck his neck out here to take a dig at Britain’s Conservative party.

Speaking in Trinity College yesterday, O’Leary said that he was very worried about the prospect of British people voting to leave the EU in order to punish the unpopular Conservative government.

Prime Minister David Cameron, who is helming the ‘Remain’ campaign, has recently come under fire for questions raised over his tax dealings as a result of the Mossack Fonseca leak.

According to the Irish Examiner, O’Leary went on to say that there are many first-generation Irish people eligible to vote, who should vote for the UK to remain in the EU – a move which would benefit Ireland in terms of international trade.

The referendum will take place on June 23.
