The footballer was sentenced to six years in prison earlier this year.

Adam Johnson is facing 6 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexual activity with a child at Bradford Crown Court this afternoon. The player was back in front of Judge Jonathan Rose who stated that the former Sunderland and Man City winger had ” no remorse because you still deny the most serious offence” and that his actions were  “calculated, considered and carefully-orchestrated” against the 15-year-old girl.

Prosecutor Kate Blackwell stressed the importance of the  “severe psychological harm that the defendant has caused to the victim” and more details have emerged about the case.

Josh Halliday is a journalist for the Guardian and he has been following the trial from its very first moments. Here’s the latest information about Johnson’s actions.
