Motorcyclist killed on the N25 between Cork and Waterford

Tragic news.

A motorcyclist has died after a road collision at at Lisacrue, near Killeagh, on the N25 between Cork and Waterford. The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Saturday evening.

According to a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána, Gardaí are currently at the scene.

The motorcyclist has been confirmed as male, but his age is currently unknown to authorities. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was removed to Cork University Hospital.

The car involved in the incident was occupied by a man and a woman, both in their eighties. They were also brought to Cork University Hospital, as a precaution.

Forensic Collision Investigators are at the scene. The road is expected to stay closed overnight with local diversions in place.
