NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough has shared an amazing image of Dublin captured all the way from space.
The 54-year-old from Texas was a United States Army officer before becoming a NASA astronaut and is currently in space as part of the Expedition 65 crew.
Clearly an avid fan of Ireland and its capital, the astronaut took time on Monday (11 October) to post a photo on Twitter of the county at night taken from orbit on the International Space Station.
He accompanied the picture with a caption saying he planned on visiting Dublin in 2022.
“One of my favorite cities – Dublin, Ireland! Look forward to seeing all of my friends there next year. Slàinte!” the post reads.

Kimbrough regularly shares images of cities around the world as seen from above to his nearly 120,000 Twitter followers.
In July of this year, he shared an aerial photo of Cork, stating he had “great memories” in the “lovely” city.
