If you bought your lotto ticket in the south of the country, today could be a very good day indeed.
Someone in Ireland is waking up as Ireland’s newest millionaire on Thursday morning after the National Lottery jackpot was claimed by just one winning ticket on Wednesday night.
The National Lottery revealed that there was one winner of the Lotto jackpot on Wednesday night, a jackpot worth an eye-opening €7,545,870.
The winning ticket was bought in the south of the country and although that’s not exactly narrowing it down, if you did buy a ticket, you could do with checking it to see if your numbers match the winning numbers of 8, 10, 11, 25, 28 and 32. The bonus number was 35.
There was also one winner of €54,356 for matching five numbers and the bonus and thousands of winners of amounts ranging from a €3 Scratch Card (redeemable as a cash prize for online players) to €1,164 for matching five numbers.
The identity of the winner of the jackpot remains a mystery for now, but whether it was one person on their own or a syndicate, whoever is attached to that winning ticket is going to have some Bank Holiday weekend.
