People noticed the change in the school’s website on Sunday evening.
A primary school in Newry has had their website “hacked” and replaced with a pornography website.
Those who have searched for St. Ronan’s Primary School in Newry online, and went on to the school’s website, have been met with graphic images and videos instead of the school’s regular page.
The news was brought to the school’s attention on Sunday when they were tweeted by someone who thought there was “something wrong” with the website.
They responded to this user to say that the site had been hacked, and that they were trying to get the website blocked.

According to Belfast Live, councillor for the area Gary Stokes has branded the attack as “vile” and condemned those responsible.
He said: “This is shocking and absolutely malicious.
“It is disgraceful that someone would think it is amusing to target a primary school in this way.
“It is also very disturbing for the children who range in age from 4 to 11, my thoughts are with the pupils and parents who have seen this.
“The police should be fully investigating this sinister attack and I would urge anyone who knows anything about it to come forward.”
The school have informed the police of the incident.
