Next week’s weather looks like you’ll need to have an umbrella handy at all times

However, when it isn’t raining, it will still be very warm…

Good news first: the bad news isn’t as bad as was initially predicted.

Earlier in the week, Met Éireann‘s forecast for early next week included the possibility of thunderstorms and spot flooding.

Thankfully, that seems to have eased off somewhat, but having said that, no time for the bad news…

While the temperatures are expected to still get as high as 23 degrees on Monday and 22 degrees on Tuesday, the closer we get to mid-week, the more likely it is you’ll be caught in a sudden downpour.

The rain will arrive in scattered showers on Monday evening, before heavier rain hits on Tuesday morning and afternoon.

Wednesday and Thursday will see a mix of sun and potentially heavy rain, with some more prolonged downpours expected for the north of the country.

Even then, and going into Friday, the temperatures are expected to remain in the high teens, or as high as 20 degrees in places.

So, yep, bring sunscreen and umbrellas with you at all times, just in case.
