You don’t say.
Earlier this week, the plane-manufacturer Airbus warned that they could leave the UK if Theresa May’s government fail to secure a Brexit agreement that sees the UK exit the European Union single market and customs union without a transition deal.
At present, Airbus employs 14,000 people at 25 sites in the UK – around half in Wales.
A Welsh government spokesperson has said: “We have repeatedly warned that the UK cannot take the huge economic risk of cutting ourselves adrift from the single market and customs union. Particularly in the case of manufacturing sectors, which in Wales are so important in providing high-paid, high-skilled jobs.”
Since this warning, BMW have also warned that they’re also prepared to leave the UK if the Brexit climate isn’t favourable to their needs.
In an interview with ITV, Nigel Farage, has spoken about these development and said that: “Brexit done properly will make this country richer. Brexit done badly will leave us in a worse position than we were before. Brexit on its own isn’t some magic cure.”
Here’s his interview in full.
