Nigel Farage’s tweets about Brexit might make you want to throttle him

Carl Kinsella

Nigel Farage has kept quiet enough since Great Britain’s Brexit vote back in June…

Especially compared to how loud he was in the lead-up to the huge referendum. Many have since quoted the Leave campaign’s promise that £350million would be re-invested in the NHS, and Farage’s almost immediate refutation of that claim just hours after the Leave campaign was successful.

Others have noted his bizarre move to quit as UKIP leader after such a sizeable supposed victory.

Farage is now putting pressure on Theresa May to pull up the drawbridge and get on with a full-scale exit from the EU, scrapping elements of the EU-UK relationship that the vast majority of Tories want to keep – such as the freedom of movement between countries.

This move would take the UK out of the single market, something which is largely regarded as a severe economic folly.

Removal of freedom of movement would be particularly bad news for Ireland, as it would necessitate the return of a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic – as well as restrict travel to England, Scotland and Wales.

That moustache he’s grown has clearly given his confidence the boost it so sorely needed.
