That's right, you can lift your jaw off the floor and recover form the surprise. In honour of National Potato Day, Keogh's Farm launched the Irish Spud Sentiment Index. Among their findings, they discovered that 91% of Irish people would include potatoes in their 'death-row' meal. stick em in a stew 75% of respondents to the survey cited potatoes as their 'favourite mealtime carbohydrate', presumably beating out stiff competition from the likes of pasta. Mashed potatoes are the countries favourite format of potatoes, ahead of roast potatoes in second place and baked potatoes in third. However, when it comes to side dishes, french fries are the most popular potato-based food stuff.
