The kid is ambitious, we’ll give him that…

When you’re signing a player these days there are transfer committees, scouts, a director of football and agents all trying to recommend who your club should sign, but we guess that’s modern football for you.

Scottish club Aberdeen, however, have received some advice on new signings from an unusual source; a nine-year old fan named Boyd Gibson.

To be fair to young Boyd he has decent taste. What club wouldn’t want the likes of Gareth Bale, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo? And he also showed off his Bundesliga knowledge picking out Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The big surprise on the list is Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd. We’re guessing that’s the first and last time Kris will be mentioned along with Messi and the lads although, to be fair, he’s been pretty prolific in the SPL down through the years.

Aberdeen were great sports and even tweeted the young fan, saying his shortlist will be passed on to the manager Derek McInnes.
