Someone in the south-east of Ireland woke up a lot richer on Saturday morning.

Yet another Euromillions draw has passed without anyone claiming the top prize, which was worth a cool €65 million on Friday night.

But, there was good news for one lucky Irish ticket-holder, however, as the top prize of €500,000 in the Euromillions Plus draw was claimed by a player in south Kilkenny.

The lucky EuroMillions Plus Quick Pick ticket was sold on Thursday, 24 May, at Carroll’s Centra store in Knocktopher which is located 20 km south of Kilkenny City.

The main EuroMillions numbers were: 13, 15, 16, 28 and 41 and the lucky stars 04 and 05.

The National Lottery is encouraging all of its players in Kilkenny to check their tickets. A spokesperson said: “It’s another great result for our players this morning and we can’t wait to welcome our 14th EuroMillions Plus winner of 2018 into our famous Winners’ Room next week.”

They’ve urged the lucky ticketholder to sign the back of the ticket and contact their prize claims team on 01 836 4444.
