Carl Bernstein, one of the journalists who broke open the Watergate scandal, was joined by John Dean, one of the Nixon's staff and who was deeply involved in the cover-up, headed to CNN to discuss the Trump controversy and neither of the men held back.

Bernstein told CNN: "I’ve been saying for a while that there’s a cover-up going on here. The cover-up is among those who worked in the Trump campaign and associates of Trump and it’s now becoming much more clear what it is that they have been concealing which are these contacts, which revolve around leaked emails from Podesta's account.” John Podesta was the chairman for Hillary Clinton's campaign, whose emails were leaked in the midst of the campaign. Clip via oneroundnews Bernstein continued: “What we’re seeing is push back, smoke screens, an attempt to keep away from what really happened here by the President of the United States. [It] raises a whole set of additional questions." The controversy continues this weekend as another story emerges about Michael Flynn, a retired US Army lieutenant general and the first national security adviser appointed by Trump, before retiring from that position while under scrutiny and under investigation by the army (via New York Times) for being paid by the Russian government in 2015, as well as discussing US sanctions with the Russian ambassador (via Washington Post). Now he has been accused (via Wall Street Journal) of meeting with with senior Turkish officials during the campaign, and discussing kidnapping enemies of the Turkish president Erdogan, who were living in America, and transporting them back to Turkey. The bad news (well, the worse news) for Trump is that sources are reporting that Flynn is on the verge of "flipping" on Trump, and becoming an information source for the FBI.

It all still being under investigation, this could prove to all be a fallacy and Trump may have committed zero wrong-doing. Or he could be within reach of impeachment. Watch this space.
