13 Irish counties have been issued with Status Yellow and Status Orange warnings.

Met Éireann has issued several weather warnings for this weekend, including a Status Orange rain warning.

The more severe weather alert applies to Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow and is set to be valid from 2pm on Friday (14 November) until 11am on Saturday.

It reads: "Significant rainfall accumulations, especially on high ground and exposed areas.

"Impacts: Hazardous travelling conditions, significant flooding possible."

Met Éireann has also issued two Status Yellow rain warnings that are scheduled to take effect on Friday morning and will last until Saturday morning.

The counties impacted are Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Limerick, Louth, Meath, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow.

Both read: "Heavy and persistent rain falling on saturated ground.

"Possible impacts: Poor visibility, flooding, difficult travelling conditions."

On top of this, a Status Yellow wind warning for Dublin, Louth, Wexford and Wicklow is set to take effect from midday on Friday until 4am on Saturday.

"Strong and gusty northeasterly winds," the alert reads. "Possible impacts: Difficult travelling conditions, wind-related debris," it states.
