A man has been arrested in connection with organised crime in the west of the country on Wednesday morning (7 September).
The man, aged in his mid-20s, was charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into crimes in the Sligo and Leitrim area.
He is expected to appear before Loughrea District Court sitting in Ballinasloe today.
This is the second person charged as part of the operation, while ten people have been arrested so far in connection with the investigation.
Investigations are ongoing.
